Shrink it, pink it and call it new? Not on their watch…

Full throttle on the confessions here… when it came to school, sitting still in class, or even keeping my mouth shut, that was not such an easy task for your girl here.

So there's a pretty solid chance that I missed a few things along the way, which is exactly how I ended up getting a history lesson from two sisters, Lexi and Margot, instead of, you know…my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Ellingsworth. (Shout out Woodlands Elementary in Longwood, FL!)

Now, pick up what I'm putting down here, because the knowledge nuggets they bestowed on me have some fire that we'll definitely need to unpack.

Let me introduce you (or re-introduce you, if you actually paid attention in class) to Mary Stuart. As in Mary, Queen of Scots. This firecracker got really tired of not feeling welcome back in the 16th century and missing out on golf invites. (Guaranteed there was mansplaining back then too…)

So, as brazen as I'm learning she was, she said, "You know what…back up. Y'all can watch."

I mean, I think that's probably what she said. But I digress…

Nearly 500 years later, Lexi and Margot decided that Mary's tenacity, and her refusal to wait around for an invite to the course, deserved a brand named after her.

STUART Golf Club officially dropped on July 22, 2026.

So, let's talk about it…

"Shrink it, pink it, call it new"

Scout's honor, that's their line, not mine, but honestly? Genius. Here’s why…

They took hold of this tagline because that's been the formula for women's golf apparel for decades. Take the men's stuff. Make it smaller. Make it pink. Slap a really loud print on it. Call it a women's line and end the day.

As if that's not enough to repel us from the almost barren racks at the local big-box golf shop, those items "created for women" are made of cheap synthetics that feel like a shower curtain in August, leaving them basically disposable.

Were we supposed to be grateful for those hand-me-downs from the boys? Uh. Lexi and Margot got tired of it, so they built the alternative.

So what IS STUART?

The whole vibe of the brand is very much "introducing new traditions to the game of golf," and it's meant in three very specific ways.

Style that sticks with you the whole day. Their pieces are designed to be worn on the course for 18 and then straight into errands, dinner with the girls, and maybe a round of Mahjong. Timeless staples over trendy pieces, designed for women by women, from the fit to the color palette.

Feel-good fabrics with a good conscience. US-made, natural, breathable fibers with real functional stretch, minimal plastic, and ethical labor practices. Since so many golf apparel brands drown in polyester, this performance wear won't feel like you're wearing a Ziploc bag.

Clubhouse energy, no membership required. Lexi and Margot are creating that warm, everyone-knows-your-name feeling through local events and meetups. All the good parts of a clubhouse, minus the dues and the waiting list.

Meet the Wrap Skort

This is the piece that had me go, "oh ok, ladies, you really get it."

It's an A-line wrap silhouette with tortoise buttons that reads sleek and tailored for a classic vibe but still moves with you through a full backswing. There are built-in shorts with hidden pockets for your tees, keys, and phone.

What I love most about this piece is that it looks intentional, like a solid closet choice instead of athletic-by-default, which again, is the whole point for the STUART brand.

How it all came together…

Before there was ever a single stitch, when Drop 01 was nothing more than a pitch deck, Lexi and Margot started talking about STUART out loud to everyone who would listen.

To say that the response knocked their golf socks off is an understatement, because they were overwhelmed with the amount of waitlist sign-ups and DMs from women who were WAITING for something fresh on the course to land on their doorstep. They had a whole audience of us basically raising our hands saying, "Yes, please! Get it done, ladies!"

So they didn't have to launch hoping women wanted this. The women told them first!

Which means that drop that just went live? That's not a shot in the dark, my friend. That's extremely intentional.

Now go get in on it!

Drop 01 is live NOW and it's limited, so don't doom scroll the rest of the summer and say, "Oh, I'll think about it." Go snag yours, post about it, and tag me. I WANNA SEE!
